Terms of Service

Effective October 19, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Trade Boss Pro LLC ("we"), which operates PermitTipoff.

The service

PermitTipoff is a weekly email and CSV file summarizing building permits newly issued by the City of San Diego, compiled from the city's public open data. We filter, tag and format that data. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the City of San Diego.

Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

• Free trial: new subscribers get a 14-day free trial. You won't be charged during the trial. If you don't cancel before it ends, your subscription starts automatically at the price shown at checkout. We email a reminder before the trial ends. One trial per company.
• Subscriptions renew monthly at the price shown at checkout until you cancel. The founding price ($29/month, limited to the first 20 subscribers) stays the same for as long as the subscription stays active without a lapse. The standard price is $39/month.
• You can cancel anytime in the Stripe billing portal or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't provide partial-month refunds unless the law requires it.
• We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' email notice. Founding prices are excluded while they remain active.

Your use of the data

• A subscription is for use by one company. Please don't resell or republish the files as a competing lead list.
• You're responsible for complying with the laws that apply to how you contact property owners or businesses, including the CAN-SPAM Act, the TCPA, Do-Not-Call rules, and California's Contractors State License Law and advertising rules.
• Don't use the service to harass anyone or for any unlawful purpose.

Accuracy and no warranty

Permit data comes from the city "as is" and can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Our classifications (ADU, kitchen/bath, etc.) are automated keyword tags and may contain errors. Valuations are the city's permit valuations, not contract prices. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We don't guarantee any number of leads, jobs or revenue.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll email subscribers about material changes before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
